Board Members
David Hagopian, Board Chairman, Founder
Mr Hagopian is a successful attorney, entrepreneur, senior executive, and business consultant with more than two decades of experience in the worlds of law and business. He co-founded and has executively co-managed several enterprises.
Mr. Hagopian actively litigates cases on behalf of clients in state and federal courts throughout California and in other jurisdictions. He was an attorney with two international law firms, Latham & Watkins and Dorsey & Whitney, and with the latter firm, he pioneered its first California office. He currently is a partner with the statewide firm of Carlton, DiSante & Freudenberger, where he is Head of the firm's Business Litigation Practice Group and specializes in complex business and employment litigation. He frequently represents companies and board directors in shareholder actions and business disputes, represents national healthcare clients, and also has experience with corporate compliance, complex insurance coverage litigation, and risk management. He is a member of the California State Bar, the Orange County Bar Association (Business Litigation and Employment Practice Groups), and the Federalist Society of Law & Public Policy; and he is a lecturer for the Blackstone Fellowship of the Alliance Defense Fund.
As a business solutions consultant, Mr. Hagopian specializes in researching, preparing and implementing market differentiation strategies and deploying market differentiation pieces to increase client sales/revenues. He directs marketing and sales campaigns by conducting market research, identifying customer value hierarchies, positioning and branding products/services, deploying compelling marketing and sales pieces, and directing and systemizing sales and marketing efforts. He also offers other business consulting services, such as price analysis, strategic affiliations/alliances/ventures, advice regarding angel and venture capital funding, and advice regarding mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Hagopian earned his B.A. in History with a minor in Classical Greek from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, top graduate in his major, commencement speaker, and recipient of numerous intercollegiate speech and debate awards. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California, where he distinguished himself as an Order of the Coif graduate (top 10%) and a junior faculty member teaching legal writing and rhetoric.
Mr. Hagopian has co-authored and edited three books, contributed chapters to other books, written articles for various magazines and journals, and is a frequent conference speaker. He also is actively involved in various community and church groups and has served on numerous non-profit boards.
Ed Day, CEO, Founder
Edward Day is a results oriented executive with a track record in architecting business strategies to promote rapid growth environments. He has extensive knowledge in financial services and health care market segments and has spent the last decade formulating strategies, executing business models and technology initiatives for early stage companies such as TC³ Health and Healtheon/WebMD.
Mr. Day is currently the President of IntelStrategiessm, a company specializing in revenue growth and value creation for mid-market organizations. He was previously Co-Founder/Chief Strategy Officer at TC³ Health, a technology company providing loss control and risk analytics. Prior to founding TC³, he was VP Business Development at Healtheon/WebMD where he was responsible for product development and managing channel partners at one of the nation’s leading health care IT organizations. His previous engagements include a number of successful ventures with companies such as Pacific Life, Beech Street Corporation and the Institute for International Trade and Development.
During the Reagan Administration, he served as an International Economist to the Secretary of the Treasury focusing on financial information systems for international capital markets. Mr. Day is co-author on Foreign Portfolio Investment in the United States. Recently, he advised the Ministry of Finance of the Peoples Republic of China on international finance and comparative taxation. Mr. Day is an adjunct professor at California State University Fullerton on global risk management and international finance, lectured at University of California Irvine’s Graduate School of Management on technology and serves on several Boards. He is published on a range of topics, speaks extensively and has patents pending on loss control and risk technologies. He received a Masters degree in Development Banking from The American University in Washington, DC and a Bachelorette degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Jim Williams, President, Founder
Mr. Williams is an accomplished C-level Executive with over 30 years experience leading organizations ranging from early-stage, start-ups to large technology and operating entities within Fortune 100 companies. Jim spent 24 years in executive level management positions in the Financial Services Industry, with companies including CitiCorp, Security Pacific Bank and Bank of America. From 1993 to 2000, he served as the Chief Information Officer of PacifiCare Health Systems, a major national health plan. Before founding HST, he spent 5 years as the CEO of Health Savings Technology, LLC and 2 years as President and CEO of Smart Chip Technology, a publicly traded software technology company serving the electronic payments industry. As a member of corporate management teams, he has led the Information Technology and Operations areas in the activities associated with the acquisition and assimilation of over 30 companies within the financial services and health care industries. During his career, Mr. Williams has been a guest speaker on the subject of information technology at health care conferences and for technology and consulting companies. He has served as a Board Member for the Managed Care Executive Group, as well as, public and non-profit companies. He performed his undergraduate work at Indiana Central University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
